This weekend I left home by car on Saturday morning to attempt to travel from Rickmansworth in Herts to Slough in South Buckinghamshire. I travelled through three constituencies of the MP's Mr Gough (Herts), Mr Bercow, North Buckinghamshire, Mr Greaves, South Buckinghamshire. It took 5 hours to reach my destination, because there was no grit and salt laid on the roads at anytime before or during the journey. Cars slid along and often careered off the roads because of a failure by Local and National Government to act immediately to bring in snow ploughs from other areas. The M25 in Mr Bercow's constituency was a disgrace.
On the return journey the road from Slough to Uxbridge the main artery road beside the famous Pinewood studio was treacherous because no grit had been laid and it has a steep incline which means cars cant traverse it when ice forms under the snow. An non council contracter took it upon himself to tow cars up the hill despite asking for money to do so, but he was successful in getting motorist home where no police van or highway petrol was available to help the three hundred cars that were stuck. It reminded me of the third world country Kenya where in the rainy season because of a lack of government money and infra-structure cars are regularly winched along the mud-sliding roads. There cars become strewn along the routes falling off the roads in the similar scenes to the M25.
It is the responsibility of MP's to care for their constituents and make sure their welfare is put first. How the three Conservative MP's failed this weekend in particular Mr Bercow who should really consider his postion. Its not enough to say it was the worse weather in 20 years. I seem to remember at that time in 1990 the roads were indeed gritted and passable with no accident so whos kidding who? the transport secretary was out of step with the reality of the situation too.
As for Heathrow, I found today at home I could easily remvce the two inches of impacted ice and snow by lifting it off the ground with a garden hoe. Perhpas thats what should be suggested to Mr Walsh who seems intent on causing hardship to people over Christmas. He seems to be like BP in the Deepwater incident just letting it all happen without taking any responsibity.
So maybe the British people stuck in Heathrow should get garden hoes, and spades, then get off their backs and actually clear the run way themselves. They did it on the roads themselves yesterday...not because of big society but because government had failed locally and nationally. But that reminds me of a phrase that when you straighten your back, you are going somewhere because you can@t rid someones back when it is bent.
As I said in my last blog all parties must take responsiblity for the riots last week which were dressed up as student riots when they were also serious race riots moving tandem with them. We have reached the juncture of the broken promises speech of Martin Luther King in 1963....
Will the British people allow their backs to be bent again this week? I hope not....as for Mr Walsh of British Airways ... shall he compensate the passengers for their losses.... for truly he should pay their hotel bills. But may like BP he wants these insurance claims to await him?

Inquests are of great value to society.
The power of the legal Inquest into the cause of death, of people by accident or design must not be underestimated or undermined in any society that regards itself as democratic. For example the 7/7 Inquest is proving an invaluable exercise in helping to discover not only the cause but also what went wrong in the care of the victims in the vital moments after the blasts. It is regretable that the Labour government was unable to over come the obstacles to properly conducting this Inquest and that it has fallen again to the arguablely more Democratic Coalition to oversee the 7/7 Inquests. As with the investigation into the death of baby P such legal reports and post mortems are important to find out what has gone wrong and how such mistakes can be prevented in the future. Likewise it would seem with the mysterous death of David Kelly that a properly conducted Inquest might uncover what could have happened in the last hours of his life.
The published coroners report shows new evidence that he had bruises under his knee ,right shine, two on his chest and three abrasions on his head. This in itself shows that suicide may not have been the correct verdict at the non-inquest of the Hutton Inquiry. It puts a big question mark over the integrity of the politicians who arranged that Inquiry and pours doubt over their motives for ignoring the need for a proper inquest and verdict. Surely now that this has been revealed by the Justice Minister Kenneth Clark, the correct thing is to move towards an Inquest in the right legal framework?
What is very disturbing is the way many Labour supporters have sought to defend the indefensible by glossing over the fact that a proper Inquest was not conducted whatever the case, whether it was suicide or murder. Their moral failure in this is perhaps because in some measure they might be responsible for the pressures that brought about Kelly's demise. Something, many of the great and the good of the Labour party seem to be in complete denial, failing to see how a breach of trust has occurred to damage perhaps irreparbley their image.
Many years ago I was a student welfare councillor at a University that had the highest suicide rate in the country. I therefore spent many hours with suicidal students helping them to sort out problems that had contributed to their state of mind. In fact I was nominated for Scotswomen of the year for helping bring down the suicide rate from 12 a year to zero. In my time spent doing that I encountered many suicidal people and one young student comes to mind who had slashed her wrists. Whist at the local Accident and Emergency with her what I saw, was that she had made one deep slash across each wrist. What is remarkable in observing these wounds is that there is very little blood because the blood vessels contract to defend the patient from death. Such a wound does not drip with blood and is not dangerous enough to in itself to cause death as many experts have also contended. The suicidal rarely die from this alone.
I, in fact, briefly only met David Kelly once at a Baha'i event at which he was a speaker. Of his state of mind I would say he seemed to be a defiantly stubborn person with a strong belief in himself something that the suicidal characteristically lack. He had none of the indicators of a clinically suicidal person. So there are many questions that must be asked about his final hours. An Inquest properly conducted could help to answer the mysteries and alay the fears or confirm them that his attackers might still be at large. Until that Inquest is conducted there will always be doubt.

Faith and Reason - the political challenge
Any visitor to the Vatican like myself not as a Catholic but as a tourist could not help but marvel at the glories that were Rome and the enormous advancement of Christianity through the organ of that powerful state. In its essence the existance of the See of Rome brought Christianity as a force to the entire planet preaching the love of Christ albeit in the schism and disunity of various sects. How wonderful then and modernising that Pope Benedict has ignored the schism in favour of promoting the central core of all Religious Faiths which is that of the Unity of God and the importance of Religious belief in society.
In this spirit I wanted to share my amusing encounter with the concept of Religious Unity when as an ex-Presbyterian I ended up saying a prayer for the Pope something that might be considered as quite a contradiction by those schooled with the differences in Faith, (which is perhaps in itelf a contradiction).
Whilst in Rome in 2005 I found myself searching for the entrance of the Vatican Museum and when unable to find it found myself accidently walking around the entire vatican itself in a kind of circumambulation. As I realised my mistake I thought to take up prayer for the Pope since I had my own Religious Faith and I thought perhaps my prayer that was about the Intergral Unity of All religions might permeate those walls. I said for the Pope a Baha'i prayer called the 'Remover of Difficulties' to help him recognise that All Religions are One. How arrogant that perhaps a hapless tourist of little recognition could have this wish. I walked around the high Edifice saying ' Is there any remover of difficulties save God say praised be God he is God, All are his servants and all abide by his biding.' Such was the vastness of the Vatican I was to say some hundred or so prayers for the Pope to recognise the Unity of his Faith and all other true religions.
How wonderful therefore that God answered the prayer of the breathless tourist some five years later with Pope Benedict arriving in Britain to call his brethern to a larger statement of their Faith that would encompose all groups in Christianity and exort other religions in extolling the importance in the belief in God for society.
Guarding against 'Agressive Secularism'
How very important it is that society accept Religion as a guidance in life as a force for Good. When politicians shut out Religions from Society they in fact prevent themselves from being a force of Good and become open to other more disunited forces of greed, tyranny and vested interests. Presenting one class or ideology, whether lower of upper class against one another in conflict can not in itself resolve the extreme problems of society.' A politician who only represents one class (lower or higher) of his constituents can not in fact be a proper politician because he or she is not representing all the people he was elected to represent.' Nor, at this jucture, with corruption at its highest, can any person of Relgion stand idly by and watch the subordination of Relgion in public life without taking up a voice of intervention and warning, and in this the Pope is quite correct.
Therefore let the Politician extol the virtues of Religious work with the poor the sick and needy and recognise the call to service, in which the role of the PUBLIC SERVANT is a more real and considered one. Im sure that the Pope might agree albeit that he has greater abilities to command it than a single solitary tourist or citizen of the UK.
Religion, of which ever Faith, beit Muslim, Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Baha'i and the many others not mentioned here, should be given room in society to join in to play its part. Religion must not be marginalised because when this happens, society fails to have the guidance that in its essence prevents corruption, greed, violence and emnity. Without Religion, society becomes but only an empty shell. We are all more than the sum of our parts, how else therefore could a group of miners summon the Faith to survive over 40 days and with the help of disciplined consideration rise to the surface in Chile. A call to prayer if there ever was one!!!
However Religion is only as good as the people in it, and this is where the problem lies. To throw out the barrel of apples because of one rotten one does not make sense. You throw away the one bad apple to save the rest!!

Parliamentary Lobbying - Uninformed Profiteering
Dear Prime Minister and Deputy, Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg,
With the request to hear views I think it is important that I point out over the next weeks there will be contained in here some good ideas about how to help the feature film sector of which I am a member. One of the idea's from many of the Cannes film festival attendees was the introduction of small 20p levie on evey cinema ticket sold to create a cinema distribution fund in the UK for British Films. More on this over the next few weeks.
In the meantime I want to address the apparant wish of the Prime Minister to ask Charities to in some cases take on the burden of the state. In theory this sounds fine but let me explain the dangers as outlined by the supposed B12 lobby of parliament that took place last November. The original remit of the lobby was to attempt to review the treatment of Pernicious Aneamia in the UK. Sadly the event was hijacked by a group of B12 campaigners who wished to profit financially from B12 deficieny rather than support Pernicious Aneamia, which as an auto immune disease requires a different regime of life long injections of B12 as opposed to a course of B12 tablets for those who just have a vitamin deficiency.
In the case of Penicious Aneamia the patient has no intrinsic factor or pertials cells in their stomach linning to absorb B12 therefore it is imperative they have intramuscular injections of B12 once a month for life. Sadly this very important medical fact, yes fact, not fiction, was overlooked and many there were representing doctors and groups who wished to promote untested remedies and unlicensed versions of B12, in a way that they could profit from selling them. With such a disease as Pernicious Aneamia such unregulated experimentation is dangerous as with the promoted Mythlycobalamin injection which is an unlicensed form of unstable B12 injected by small diabetic needles, as opposed to the medical application of the inventors of the cure Addison Whimple and Murphy, who stated that they, at that time thought intramuscular large needle injections aborbed into the body in a better way.
To date the Mythlycobalamin being sold at that event and promoted by the Pernicious Aneamia Society has not been tested for it's absorbtion abilties in small diabetic needle form nor has it been licensed in this country for use. Scientists are still tying to stabalise the mythl molecule from changing when it is exposed to light and heat. The Pernicious Aneamia Society also promotes vitamin intavenious drip proceedures, in which the patient must sign an agreement to do so at their own risk from a doctor whose day job is an anaethnatist. This proceedure is offered as a means to help depletion of vitamins, but as with the case of Michael Jackson any proceedure which is not conducted in a hospital via bonefide medical back up can be dangeous.
So why is the Pernicious Aneamia Society risking it's reputation in this way. Why is it asking sufferers to take an unlicensed B12 and pay the Pernicious Aneamia society for the honour of something that might not be absorbed with the correctness of the current intramuscular B12? Why did it feel this must be done at a Lobby of Parliament, where differing views existed to the way forward for the disease and those like myself were asking for parity with countries like Canada, USA, and Australia where intramuscular hydroxocobalamin B12 is applied under the international medical formulary, once a month.
To have adopted the correct proceedure the Pernicious Aneamia Society should have firstly campaigned for the licensing of mythlcobalamin and for money to be assigned to test it's absorbtion abilities, before it then launched it onto an unsuspecting and vulnerable blood disordered community who were being asked to pay for it though it did not have medical efficacy behind it.
I ask Mr Cameon and Clegg to look into these matters and also in their examination of the Canadian political system to also view how B12 is dispensed there. Furthermore oraganisations who wish to lobby parliament should do just that - Lobbies should be soley for the organisation t wishing to make it's point. It should not be for those who wish to piggy back their views, opinions, and particularly products onto other lobbyists or politicians for financial gain.
Mythlcobalamin may be the way forwad but it needs tested!!!
In the meantime please re- introduce monthly injections of hydoxocabalamin, which have been reduced to a tortuous three monthly regime in the NHS.
Lastly it says nothing for the Labour MP's who have dropped the B12 campaign since and done nothing, but perhaps if it was conditional on mythcobalamin promotion then maybe they have dropped it because they would not receive any plaudits from a difficult hydroxocobalamin campaign?? Now that's thought! Please act! Without B12 being correctly applied some patients can still die of Pernicious Aneamia. There are costs to sort this out and that's what will be looked at in the next blogs and videos over the next few weeks.

The End of Excess
The figure for the Government's National Debt of 770 billion is quite a staggering amount, but it may not truly reflect the depth of the situation. The amount breaks down to £22,ooo per person in the country but this does not reflect the personal debts of those who have credit, card loans, and unpaid bills, where the estimated debt of each family amounted to an average of £33,ooo per person. So add the National Government debt and private debts together and each has to bear around £55,000 on average. Are we to bequeath this debt to our children?
It is incredible that the debt was never tackled by a Socialist Government who took the appoach in the name of Socialism that they would build up an elitely paid class in the Public sector who were overpaid and turned a blind eye to profiteeing among the public bodies. For example, NHS officials sold off drugs for cancer at a profit abroad and yet to date noone has come clean about where the money went. It is known it never reached patients who were denied drugs they required. It may indeed be the case that B12 for Penicious Aneamia also fell into the profiteering catergory, as for three decades prior to labour power, doctors believed the medical scam that patients only required the drug every three months when in fact the international medical fomulary stated it must be given once a month. Is this just the tip of the iceburg of an economic and social malaise of profiteering in which politicians and officials slept walked, like zombies through an economic morass without knowing they were creating layers of unaccountable publically paid elite classes, who amassed great fortunes at the expense of the taxable population.
Surely something went wrong somewhere? The socailist view of Robin Hood robbing the rich to pay the poor might have applied, but it seems in this case Robin robbed the coffers of the treasury to amass wealth for a band of brothers who did not in fact redistribute the wealth to the poor. How embarassing therefore that a Progressive Liberal/Consevative Govt are having to re-distribute that wealth away from the absolutist unaccountable public sector 'Nu Class'. How emancipating even more for the Liberal Democracts that they will be the orchestrators of a new elected chamber that will abolish the House of Lords. How strange, how sad, nay lamentable that this reform was not considered by the Labour Government when they had the chance to do it.
If the Labour party feels shame and embarassment, or even dispair so it should, because what it has left behind it is nothing more than the scorched earth policy of a feudal warlord on a Medieval battlefield. The losers in this are the weak and infirm who did not have the ability to defend themselves against an inverted Robin Hood regime which failed to redess the balance of power between the rich and poor. As we look on at the ashes of Nu Labour perhaps a Phoenix will arise that will have the vision to see that its own salvation lies in letting this Govenment enact the reforms it failed to acheive.

Tammany Hall versus the New Politick
A week is a long time in politics. So were the five days it took to conclude the consitutional snooker that was delivered by we, the people. As a qualified political scientist with a Joint Honours degree in History and Politics, and having read all the political philosophers of all persuations from Marx, Engles, (communist), Hume, Locke, (Liberal), Adam Smith, Edmund Burke (Conservative) and Gramsci, Fabian (Socialism) the only extremmists of these groups that put power before the elected wishes of the people were Stalin, Hitler and Musolini. How was it them that the concept of majority power in the parliament took precedence over the elected wishes of the people in the form of the elected parties Prime Minister?? Such an idea that parliaments majority was more important, was against the spirit of the election which sought parliamentary reform in the first place. So too must we compare the idea of usurping the elected majority for the right of parliament to govern without a clear majority as a tactic that is only seen in previous forms of Despotic Orientalism. It is not something that is part of Western Democratic practice. So how did this idea creep in with hither too democratically elected MP's.
Imagine the bloggists nightmare to meet the very person one had blogged against which I did on a plane to France when Peter Mandelson on his last day sat down beside me last week. I muttered a kind of apology but he had not read the blog. He sought solace in his radio earphone for he did not want to talk. I managed to extract some sort of broken conversation which was to his credit showing himself the gentleman he is in fact. However on discussing the issue at hand, Gordon Brown's resignation he said he felt it was inevitable. Thank goodness truly for that because how were we all to try to cement a coalition with a party that had no mandate to rule with a Prime Minister who had not politcal right to remain in power??
Perhaps the Rainbow was the idea of a utopian beleiver who thought that the requesting party of this was whiter than white and had no motive other than to force another election or promote parliamentary reform. Was it as simple as that? With no mandate to rule the request remained anti-democratic and assumed there would be no corruptive forces in the coalition of the rainbow whose ideologies were so divergent they may not agree on anything? After all what is an ideology? It is a wooden non-human idol that sits above us all, to be worshipped above the people, and most usually in the domain of totaliatianism. Would we not then have had a parliament of the Tammany Hall squabbles or a blood bath of Post Colonial New York?
How clever was it then that no matter what, the People themselves decided that they wanted a Coalition. A new politick which forced a new way of working that put political Unity first before partisan politics? Where the Lib Dem was stuck in a decision that was ultimately taken away from him by an Older and Wiser man, Gordon Brown, who might have read of the dangers of putting ideology first in the way that Stalin did???
What are we left with - a way of working together to solve the biggest problem of all - the decline and fall of capitalism itself which may in fact not require the old ideologies to prevent its collapse. Its decline in itself will create the need for a new political premise based on the unity of politics or rather the abandonment of it to form new princincples of co-operation, racial unity, social harmony and religious tolerance that we all crave what ever our persuasion? To put the people first before a wronged and failing political elite, whose reign above the people can't not follow for they must be servants of the people first?
If we forget all this, then our wars against Oriental Despotism are of no account. Let it be therefore that we join in a new politics of Unity that works to solve the people's ills, heals their sicknesses and put them to work for the goodness of their own and all, rather than for a partisan political elite that works for itself.

Lastly, the plane on which I met Peter Mandelson was headed for Nice via Zurich, Switzerland where Peter got off. 'Might you have a Swiss bank account, Peter?'
Brighter Skies and Better Tomorrows.
Nick - We want the House of Lords on a Platter !
I'll be quick and cut to the chase. The fact is the Labour party does not have the majority to rule. Therefore the only way it is going to work is if the Labour Party offer the Lib Dems the total Democratic reform package of wide and sweeping proportions. The list of reform requirements looks like this. Immediate reform of the voting system to include proportional representation - The reform of the parliamentary expenses system where a cap is placed on what MP's can claim, with the right of the public to vote out a corrupt MP. The re-working of the parliamentary votes system to bring about the final abolition of the House of Lords.
How else Nick are you going to save face ?????This was what We the People voted for when we voted for you to take the balance of power and have the right to make that decision. I was one of the disassemblers who voted Lib dem to keep the Tories out in my English constituency, but in contradiction supported Labour in my native Scotland. Why did I do that like many others, who sent out such contradictions? Because that way the Lib dems would have the weight of the decision as to how to go forward on their shoulders. No-one else could be trusted. Cetainly not Labour whose record appalls.
Here it is - Whole sale management of a Parliament that per MP's expense claims cost the taxpayers TEN BILLION POUNDS in their decade of power. I'll say that again ONE HUNDREND MILLION POUNDS a year. That does not include the defense slush fund organised by the corrupt British Aviation Suppliers BAE who are in court as we speak for bribery. Added to that the corruption of the NHS in which the apparachics organised a way of selling drugs for Leukemia and other cancer abroad, taking those drug out of the system so that they could not be accessed by patients. I could go on. The list of corruptive practises of the Labour party over seerers of the public purse is frightening to any defender of Democracy. What is even worse is that thought they could get away with it by wrapping it up in a brand of public display of 'socialism' whilst running a system of corrupt vest intersts behind peoples backs.
Nick please ask for the House of Lords on a platter. Don't believe Mandleson's words about creating a pluralistic society. He is a Lord himself and he would say that. To Peter who I shared a house with as a student, I have to remind him of the words of the first Social Democratic President of the NUS Sue Slipman who started the Lib Dems with Shirley Williams and who spent many dinner parties arguing with you.... Peter, Peter, please, please take off your 'ideological straight jacket' and look at the corruption that befalls you......
We the People want the House of Lords delivered, abolished and on Plate!!!
Goodnight and Good Luck.

Let them Eat Cake! - No, says Robespierre
Electoral and Parliamentary Reform in the UK
The scenes outside polling stations this week are remincient of the anti-democratic scenes you would normally see associated with a despotic Banana Republic. When police scuffle to remove voters from polling stations, it is not something that a Labour Government in its dying hours should ever be trying to ignore but it reflects the way in which the Labour party has lost its way. In the pursuit of power and the desire to cling to it, over the years the Labour Party has been chipping away at democracy and the rights of the British people, who in voting them out have finally said enough is enough.
Lobotimised?
As someone who has worked as an Election Returning Officer for 3 years, albeit for a Student Association where I ran possibly the only Proportional Representation Counts in the country, I feel bound to say that under the rules for elections where voters have not been treated uniformly in the same way or where ballot papers have run out, there must be in those constituencies be an immediate re-call for a re-election. The guidelines are simple, where the election service has failed the voter, then the local council can call for a completely new vote and are within their rights to do so. Election Returning Officers should have brought all those they could into the buildings from the queues, then locked the doors and allowed the public to vote. This is common practise or was with good Returning Officers whose first duty is to allow the public to vote. In Consitiuencies where the public have been turned away they should be requesting to revote because the spirit of correct Election returning is to allow people to vote. In ignoring these principles the Electoral Commission is acting like the Lobotomised Apparachic of a failed Anti- Democratic Government.
MP Watch Dog
On top of that I have set up, a FaceBook site called MP Watch Dog to monitor the expenses and commitment of MPs to their constituents. It hopes to compile greivances of the public, monitor MP's expenses on a monthly basis and award a system of points to reveal how bad or well MP's are doing. It will also monitor which bills MPs are supporting and where any abuse is found it will report these MPs to the parliamentary review bodies. You will be receiving my invite to Join MP WATCH DOG soon.
Expenses
The one fact that is appalling about the expenses scandle is that when you add up the average expenses of an MP of £160,000 and multiply this with the 650 Mps, the yearly figure comes to 100 Million a year ie One Billion Pounds. Its outrageous! And you must see it in context. Say for example I wished to sort out injections for my condition Pernicious Aneamia sufferers? That money could sort out a life time supply for sufferers for the entire country. How despicable therefore that MP's spent this on Curtains, Furniture and Porn Movies. Did they think they were living in a Mafia run Operation where people where too scared to complain. The UK remains a free Democractic Country despite what our MP's of all parties have done. Now today it's time to allow THE PEOPLE to reclaim their country. Many voted deliberately for a Hung Parliament simply because they wanted to allow Nick Clegg to have the balance of power. He must now arise to the challenge whilst accepting that the people did not vote for the Labour Party or Gordon Brown who must now accept that and leave gracefully before the British Public cause roiting in the streets in a similar way to the Country of Greece.
As we wait for the King Maker to make up his mind, he must never think he failed. The people did not give the Conservative party the full majority, they gave that to Nick Clegg. Let him like Gordon accept the wishes of the public. In the meantime the Heads of the Electoral Commission should resign and reset their sights. Nick Clegg should take as long as he wants, because the public wont eat Cake anymore.

The UK 2010 Election and the NHS
Pernicious Aneamia Diaries
The election certainly seems to be of great importance to those like myself, who know they have underlying permenant health conditions. In my case I have Pernicious Anaemia which is a greatly misunderstood disease because of its name and also because it is an auto-immune disease of the blood which is allied to such other blood disorders like Leukemia. Fortunately unlike Leukemia, Pernicious Aneamia is the only red and white blood cell disorder that has a cure at least for the red cell malformations. This comes in the form of B12 injections. However there is yet to be a cure for the second part of the disease which is where the white cells wrongly attack organs like the stomach where they destroy the peritial cells which are the cells needed to absorb b12 and iron. As a result the sufferer requires life long injections of b12 and in the rarer version like my own they must constantly guard against the subsiduary diseases, sustained from long term iron deficiency. It is a lonely difficult and exhausting disease which has none of the sympathy of Leukemia but all of the symptoms.
NHS
I really hate patronising buddies who cruelly say that I should just take a few iron pills and a couple of Guinesses and I'll be will be alright as an uneducated NHS nurse said to me! The ignorance of this disease in the NHS beggars belief, where for the last 30 years patients have had to endure the wrong medical formulary of having the cure every three months when in actual fact the inventors of the cure Addison Whimple and Murphy nobel prize winners advised the cure B12 must be administered monthly. Additionally in other countries like Canada, USA and Australia the medical formularlies there accept that patients require a monthly injection to be kept well and to hold back the other progessive elements of the auto-immune disease.
Changes?
How delighted I was therefore that Labour MP's took up this call to Review the treatment last year. However this became over shadowed by the chaos of the last few months and nothing has a yet been done or called for despite repeated pleas from the Perncious Aneamia Society to keep reviewing types of B12 and new forms of treatment to remove the 3 months advocacy.
Eric Joyce
Eric Joyce MP remains the only MP to have spoken out to request the NHS look into providing another 8 injections on top of the four yearly they provide. As always Mr Joyce often takes up causes that others may avoid because the outcome is unpalatable to authorities like his request for troops out of Afganistan. However Pernicious Aneamia is no less a cause for him because it points out his own and others desire to reform the NHS to create a service that is based on saving lives rather than cost. In that respect it would be the greatest help to the Pernicious Aneamia Society if he could get himself re-elected to re join this campaign to provide the injections that sufferers so badly need. I therefore wish him the best of support on election day.
Aside from that my daily struggle with Perncious Aneamia remains the one challenge which will remain with me after the election posters have come down and the spectre of a hung parliament cling to the walls of Westminister. The collapse of the Heath Service has been going on for many decades. Whatever happens its time we all created, whatever the party, a health service that can rise to the costs required to re-build its failing service.

The Digital Economy Bill
The reading of the Digital Economy Bill in the UK went passed so far in the UK parliament you could be forgiven for thinking you had just seen a high speed train going through your local station. The one you thought you were going to get onto but then you had actually missed 5 minutes earlier. The Bill was a worthy document that did address numerous aspects of the problems faced by film makers whose product is often downloaded illegally meaning the film maker receives no money for the said download.
But the aspects of this are far more complicated than the Bill was able to express in its short renditions of copyright theft. The matter of websites who offer an illegal download service needs to be properly addressed and there is no way round it but banning them outright and as the Bill says blocking their downloading facility. No one walking into a shop is legally allowed to shoplift so why do we think that doing it on the internet should receive no greater penalty than the right to continually download products that were stolen from the owners?
Young downloaders take note and perhaps their parents in the case of music should buy them an ipod that only downloads films and music from itunes which has already had its products pre bought and the subscription allows more purchases which are done on vouchers and monthly payments. There are legal ways of doing it and these should be the only way for the fast highspeed train download. Anything else is a half measure not worth thinking about.
